well, I'm back in Boston for residency #2. With the way things have
gone this past 6 months, I'm not sure if I accomplished what I was
hoping to but we'll see as this week progresses.
Just need to clear
my brain of all the other stuff that has been cluttering it. There is
no good ending to what's going on but there will be an end....and then
everything proceeds...with some pain...but that slowly dissipates.

It was pointed out to me yesterday that I haven't been posting......hmmmmmm.

So here I am putting up something, anything to get me back into the swing. I'm not a big fan of putting up anything....I like to put up things that are relevant and right now, not much is.

Hopefully this funk will soon dissipate. Until it does, it's only white noise from here.

Well, I was contacted by a former student who is due any day now. She asked if I would take her and her husband's portrait and the "belly shot" with the old 8x10 camera. We did a few different views of the belly and this is what I came up with. Not my norm but I do like it.
I really love this old lens...what great depth of field.

....so school was insane on Thursday and I found out that there was a memorial service on campus for a colleague's son who passed away unexpected over the past weekend. Very sad but my colleague was a trooper, much better than myself. I'm not good at these things.
Anyway, I go home, got a good night sleep and at 8am friday morning my brother calls to tell me that Mark and I are now a "great aunt and great uncle". My neice Gina had given birth about 9pm thursday night.

I think this picture tells the tale...of the past 2

weeks. I'm not sure where this program is going

to lead me but I'm giving it the best shot I can

and hopefully the next 2 years will be productive

and satisfying.

I'm changing this blog and taking most of my

portfolios down. I've got work to do on them

and I will need privacy in working them out.

I will leave the "Boston Years" and "Hit and Run

Diaries" up. The others will be changing so those are now closed

to the public. I'll try to post comments,complaints

and occasional imagery here but it may become a ghost town.

I decided to do a major house cleaning on this blog so I've edited out a bunch of stuff. I've decided that next year I'm doing a "picture a day" post which should keep me more actively involved in this blog thang. I've moved any of my newer portraits to "HEADshots" and will continue to post newer portraits as they place themselves in front of my camera.
